Charles Sherno – Biography

Charles is one of the leading figures in the development of business coaching. In the early 1980’s, he pioneered the use of video feedback in improving the performance of people in sport and the performing arts. One of his clients was golfer Sir Nick Faldo. The combination of video and Tim Galwey’s Inner Game approach to coaching proved very powerful and he began exploring the use of these tools to help improve the performance of individuals and teams in business.

In 1989, Charles joined The Alexander Corporation as a Director and spent the next 12 years helping develop what was perhaps the most prestigious client base in Executive Coaching. His belief in the transformational value of self-discovery, deep listening and the power of presence has touched and influenced the lives of many.

In 2002, Charles returned to independent consulting and since 2006, he has been a key strategic contributor to the development of Whiteroom. Now based in San Francisco, Charles spends his time between the USA and London studying disciplines and techniques that can significantly enhance individual, team and organizational performance.
